- Description
- In 2009, D. R. Young Associates began advising the San Francisco Opera Association on strategies for consolidating their wide variety of real estate assets into one location in close proximity to its main production facility - the San Francisco Opera House. In 2010, the San Francisco Opera reached agreement with the City of San Francisco to locate this facility within the historic War Memorial Veterans Building. Featuring administrative offices, costume production shops, educational and archive facilities and a 300-seat digital performance venue, the Diane B. Wilsey Center for Opera brings together all of the Opera's artistic and operating functions under one roof. D. R. Young Associates led the complete implementation of this effort, directing the design and construction process, which opened in 2015.
